The Employment Law Blog Carnival is here!

Dorothy (to her dog Toto): “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas any more. “

There aren’t many in management, consulting or legal advising positions who are excited about it. In fact, there should be a contest to find even one who is…yet, based upon the inclination of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), as well as other related political forces, changes are almost certain to occur. The NLRB’s proposed changes to the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA) provide only one type of contemporary challenge employers face. Scarecrow: “I don’t know… some people without brains do an awful lot of talking… don’t they?”

Dorothy: “Oh dear! I keep forgetting I’m not in Kansas!”

Wicked Witch of the West: “How about a little fire, Scarecrow?”

Auntie Em (to Dorothy): “Help us out today and find yourself a place where you won’t get into any trouble!”  Dorothy (to Toto): “A place where there isn’t any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto?  There must be. It’s not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It’s far, far away.”

Dorothy (to Toto): “Now I… I know we’re not in Kansas!”

Wicked Witch of the West: “Just try and stay out of my way. Just try! I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!”
